The 2290 IRS Tax Form is a Schedule 1 tax form that is filed annually by anyone who owns one or more heavy vehicles. A heavy vehicle includes any vehicle that weighs more than 55,000 lbs and has traveled more than 5,000 miles per year. The HVUT is a tax paid by motor carriers directly to the Internal Revenue Service. Owners must file form 2290 from July 1 to June 30 every year and get their Stamped Schedule 1.
